Hannah + Zac
May at Iris Aisle feels like a soft exhale. The irises open wide, the breeze carries something sweet, and the light hangs on just a little longer. I’ve been holding onto every bit of it, especially grateful it stayed for Hannah and Zac’s weekday wedding.
The day had threatened rain, but instead it offered golden light and big, beautiful clouds that looked like they were pulled straight from a painting. It couldn’t have been more perfect.
The evening began in the Couple’s Cabin. Hannah was surrounded by her mom and sisters, all of them buzzing with excitement. The littlest flower girls twirled around holding tiny pocket mirrors Hannah had gifted them, their joy as radiant as the light outside.
Hannah’s gown was stunning, made even more so by the soft sleeves she added and the open back that caught the light just right. Her veil floated behind her as she made her way down the stone path.
Inside the conservatory, her father waited to walk her the rest of the way to Zac. The ceremony was tender and sincere, with heartfelt vows and just the right amount of laughter thanks to Zac and their lovely officiant.
After the ceremony, they cut cake and shared their first dance. Before slipping away for portraits, Hannah gathered everyone who wasn’t married yet and tossed her bouquet into the air, smiling as it sailed.
The light during golden hour was unreal. Hannah and Zac moved through it like poetry. The conservatory shimmered. And for a moment, everything felt timeless.
