I'm the quiet witness, like the cedar trees that stand just beyond the glass…always present, never interrupting. I photograph elopements and intimate weddings here at Iris Aisle, the place my family and I built from the ground up.
Because I live here, I know how the light moves through the conservatory at every hour. I know where the cedar trees open just enough to let the sun through. I know when to step forward and when to disappear.
My role isn’t to direct your day. It’s to notice it.
The small gestures. The nervous laughter. The way your hands find each other without thinking.
These are the moments that matter most.
What to expect :
My approach is calm and unobtrusive. I offer gentle guidance when needed, but most of the time I allow moments to unfold naturally.
I have photographed dozens of intimate weddings here, each one unfolding differently. There’s no pressure to perform. Just space to be present.
Hi, I am Raelyn.
Most call me Rae. I am a Iowa based poetic wedding + lifestyle photographer. I wound up in love with a jack of all trades that goes by the name of Earl. Together we dream and we create. I am a mother to two fearless little girls, one feisty cat, one hound dog, a few chickens and a million plants.
I find inspiration through the sound of trees whispering and flowers that open themselves up for the sun, day after day. Paying attention to the smaller details of everyday connections of people and nature are what I seek out. I am drawn to figuring out the very things that make us different. The little quirks we ALL do.
This place is part of my daily life. Photographing here is second nature.
