Madeline + Mikia

Madeline and Mikia's mid-November wedding at Iris Aisle began with Madeline getting ready in the Botanist cabin and Mikia in the Garlic tent, each of them surrounded by their closest loved ones. Madeline looked perfectly elegant in her stunning Evie Young Bridal gown with a strapless sweetheart bodice and off-shoulder blouson elbow-length sleeves. Mikia opted for a classic and sleek black 3-piece suit with a subtle patterned tie.

Their first look was in front of the Conservatory’s Victorian-style double doors, followed by family photos during golden hour in the forest clearing. The warm evening light filtered through the cedar trees and made a perfect backdrop for photos.

The intimate ceremony was held inside the greenhouse, with Madeline & Mikia’s friends and family gathered around. Our tropical plants around the altar added a lush feel to the bright autumn day. They had everyone tearing up as they exchanged vows. 🥲 After their first kiss, Madeline and Mikia read a poem to their guests - we love to see personal touches like this on your wedding day!

After the ceremony, the happy couple headed back to the Botanist cabin to sign their marriage license, and as the sun began to set, they explored the venue grounds for newlywed photos. The last of the evening light in the cedar forest was so dramatic and gorgeous! It truly was a perfect fall day for a wedding.

The reception celebrations kicked off with a champagne pop in front of the Conservatory. Guests enjoyed a yummy meal from the Off The Griddle food truck, which served up Philly cheesesteak, cheeseburgers, macaroni salad, cheesy potatoes, and refreshing lemonade and punch for dinner. Mikia and Madeline cut into their adorable bundt-style wedding cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and cupcakes were served for dessert.

After Madeline and Mikia's first dance in the Conservatory, followed by dances with their parents, the dance floor opened up to everyone. Board games spread among the tables added another fun entertainment option for guests. As the night went on, our grounds looked so whimsical and romantic, lit by twinkle lights strung through the trees.

Everything fell right into place for these two on their wedding day, and we’re glad we got to witness it all! Another beautiful love story in the making 🖤
