Matthew + Ashley

On a bright, snowy afternoon in late January, Matthew and Ashley chose the enchanting backdrop of Iris Aisle for their elopement. Their special day was a magical blend of winter’s charm and the warmth of true love.

Ashley was a vision in her white lace dress, uniquely accented with an emerald green ribbon around her waist. Her look was completed with stunning embroidered white cowboy boots, featuring intricate botanical stitching in shades of brown. Her bouquet, a dramatic arrangement of unopened lilies, purple thistles, deep red-purple calla lilies, and eucalyptus, was tied together with another silky green ribbon. Her carefully penned vows in her small notebook were bookmarked with ribbon, waiting for her to read them during the ceremony. Matthew complemented her perfectly, dressed in a white button-down, black suspenders, black trousers, and an emerald green bowtie, mirroring the ribbon in Ashley's dress and on her flowers.

The Conservatory at Iris Aisle transformed into a tropical snow globe scene for their ceremony, with Tay Sandberg officiating. With snow resting heavily on the cedar trees just beyond the glass windows and ceiling, the Victorian greenhouse kept our lush tropical plants vibrant and alive. The intimate setting was shared with their closest friends and family, creating a perfectly intimate atmosphere. Their marriage license was signed in the warmth of the Conservatory, where family photos also took place amidst the greenery.

Braving the cold, the couple ventured outside to explore the snowy property. Ashley, wrapped in a full-length tan fur coat, and Matthew braving the elements without a jacket, took couples photos beneath the snowy branches in the cedar grove, their love standing out against the winter landscape. Our cat, Leaf, made a playful appearance, as he has become known to do. Ashley and Matthew stepped into the Couple's Cabin for some cozy cabin photos, a brief respite from the winter chill.

As we took our traditional Polaroid photo of their wedding day and placed it on the fridge in the Couple's Cabin, it made us wonder: Where should we display these cherished Polaroids once the fridge is full? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
