Emily + Kelcie

In mid-September, Emily and Kelcie exchanged their vows here at Iris Aisle. The end-of-summer weather brought rain and overcast skies, creating a lush, green backdrop that showed the first signs of giving way to autumn’s hues. The Conservatory, the Victorian greenhouse which is the central feature of Iris Aisle, was decorated inside and out with ferns, tropical plants, and colorful mums.

For their day, Kelcie and Emily chose the Iris package, which offers the opportunity to stay for the entire weekend from Friday through Sunday. This included the charming Couple's Cabin, the Lotus Bell Tent nestled in the cedar forest, and even camping options for guests, creating a close-knit and intimate atmosphere for the whole weekend.

Emily and her besties got ready in the Couple's Cabin. Her attire was a stunning white gown from Jenny Yoo at Wedding Belles NOLA, paired with white satin sandals, a unique glass pressed flower necklace, and vintage pearl drop earrings. Emily's bouquet by Wildflower DSM featured peach and pink garden roses, orange and red zinnia, chamomile flowers, and lavender cosmos.

Hairstylist Madison McGee styled Emily’s long brown curls with orange and pink flowers elegantly pinned throughout, and makeup artist Breiyan Reed. The wedding party complemented the day's colorful floral theme with their mismatched dresses in shades of brown, green, and pink.

Kelcie and her friends prepared in the Lotus Bell Tent, tucked away in the peaceful cedar grove. She wore a classic white button-down shirt and black slacks, brought together with a cool silver bolo tie. Her peach and pink boutonniere added a pop of color, while the special detail of 'E+K' with a heart embroidered on the back of her collar added a personal touch and wedding day memento.

The couple shared a sweet and emotional first look in the clearing and eventually found made way to their families and wedding party for formal photos under the cedar trees.

As guests began to arrive, they were greeted by an amazing welcome spread. Guests were offered dried flower petals for tossing, copies of "The Newlywed Times" (programs), and two interactive guests books - an Instax selfie station and photo book, and an audio guestbook where guests were invited to leave heartfelt messages for the couple by speaking into a vintage pink rotary phone. They even had little cartons of popcorn at the ready for late night snacking.

Violinist Erin Cosby provided the musical ambiance as guests found their seats in the clearing. The stunning grove of cedar trees behind the Conservatory, one of our favorite spots around the property, served as the backdrop for the ceremony.

Post-ceremony, the celebration shifted to a lively cocktail hour, with Peach Cart Co. serving up signature cocktails. The Conservatory was decked out for the reception, with long white table runners and small bouquets placed on our banquet farm tables. Dinner was a vegan delight catered by Hey Schweetie, followed by desserts from Vegan in Valley Junction. The centerpiece was the couple's stunning wedding cake, displayed under a glass dome and nestled in a beautiful arrangement of flowers, accompanied by cupcakes for guests. Guests were treated to a super fun photo booth and a night of dancing. The night culminated in an impromptu NOLA-style parade around the property, led by Emily and Kelcie, in the spirit of 'laissez les bon temps rouler' – let the good times roll.

This wedding at Iris Aisle was more than just a ceremony; it was a weekend-long celebration of love, friendship, and the beauty of nature, all brought together by a team of talented vendors and a super creative couple. We’re obsessed with Zoe Deal Photography, who captured all of the beautiful moments of this day and all the gorgeous vignettes around Iris Aisle. Even on a rainy day, it’s a magical place to get married.

Thank you both for creating such an amazing space for Kelcie and I to have our wedding. We’ve been following along in your + Iris Aisle’s journey since conception and always knew it would be where we committed to forever with each other. The actual day exceeded all our expectations and that wouldn’t have been possible with you.
