Adriel + Owen

On a warm late September evening, Iris Aisle was illuminated with the joyous celebration of Adriel and Owen’s wedding. This event became one of our favorites this year.

Adriel looked perfectly elegant in her Rosalie Bridal gown, featuring long billowing sleeves and an off-the-shoulder square neckline. The dress’s charm was in its simplicity, adorned with a long line of buttons down the back. Her classic gold and diamond jewelry paired perfectly with white and cream woven pointed toe flats. Amanda Snell styled her blonde hair into long, soft curls, draped under a long white veil. Her bouquet, overflowing with purple and green lush leafy plants and peach, red, and white roses, was a vibrant creation by Hy-Vee, who also made the wonderful corsages and boutonnières.

Owen looked modern and stylish in his dark blue suit from Skeffington's, accented with a white tie and a boutonniere of a simple white rose and greenery. The groomsmen, in a similar style but with blue ties, complemented his look. The couple’s first look took place among the trees in the cedar grove. Meanwhile, guests gathered in our new open-air patio next to the Conservatory, eagerly awaiting the ceremony.

A standout feature of their wedding was the beautiful hand-painted image of our Conservatory and walking path, serving as their guest book. This creative touch allowed guests to sign around the artwork. The couple’s creativity shone through in their "The Newlywed Times" programs, styled like newspapers with headlines celebrating their union. We especially loved the custom-made stickers they offered as favors. These stickers were miniature versions of the artwork depicting the Conservatory, as well as beautiful renditions of our stained glass windows. This personal touch not only delighted guests but also captured the essence of Iris Aisle in a unique and memorable way.

During the ceremony, officiated by a friend of the bride, Adriel and Owen exchanged vows and rings. The happy couple couldn’t help but steal a second kiss in the aisle during the recessional. Following the sweet ceremony, the couple and their loved ones gathered in the clearing for family photos.

While the reception was being set up, the couple ventured to nearby Winterset City Park for more photos, allowing guests to explore the venue. Upon their return, a taco bar catered by Justin & Louise Brighton awaited them, along with a beautiful chocolate cutting cake from Hy-Vee. The bride’s own incredibly talented sister Erica created the lovely table arrangements for the perfect dinner surroundings.

As the evening progressed, Adriel and Owen shared their first dance under the twinkle lights in the reception clearing. Surrounded by their favorite people and basking in the soft, warm light, it was a perfect close to a memorable summer night at Iris Aisle.
