Whitney + Rob

Whitney and Rob arrived on a Friday afternoon during the last weekend of January, along with a few close friends, to settle in, get a feel for the land, share some laughs, and finish up a few final details like assembling bouquets. I loved that they were able to truly enjoy the space while their friends and officiant stayed tucked away in our other cabin, creating a slow and easy start to the weekend.

Saturday morning arrived quietly, and they chose to get ready separately. When I stepped into the couple’s cabin, I found Whitney surrounded by friends, gently fiddling with details and soaking it all in. She filled the room with ease and laughter. At one point she pulled cards while her friend read each one aloud, explaining their meanings. It felt intimate and grounding, like a small ritual before the day began. Her dress featured the longest train with perfectly puffy sleeves, giving subtle Bridgerton energy, with the faintest blush tone woven through the fabric. Her bouquet was finished with a stone, a detail that felt both intentional and symbolic.

Whitney walked into the conservatory on the arm of Rob’s father. There were audible gasps as she made her way down the aisle, especially from Rob, whose eyes were already filled with tears. They honored the directions of North, South, East, and West, tied a knot during their handfasting, and ended the ceremony by jumping over a broom. It was everything.

We celebrated immediately with champagne as love lingered thick in the air, their family gathered close around them. Witnessing it all felt like such an honor. We wandered the property for their couple’s portraits and ended the lunch hour with a Polaroid keepsake, as is tradition here. And did I mention it was a full moon weekend?
